I think that by adding an overlay to the hand-held shots that makes the shot look as if it is being recorded on a hand-held camera will make it clear to the audience which shots are filmed by Alex's camera and which are not, which will explain why she has the camera in some of the shots. The following are some shots that we could add this overlay to:
I also believe that as our storyline is at the minute the necklace isn't tied into the film and isn't explained why it is there, so to incorporate the necklace we have decided to add a flashback sequence in where it shows Ben previously trying to give Alex the necklace. This explains that the rejection from the girls fuels his already psychopathic thoughts and is why he kills the girls.
We are also going to add in some shots of Ben looking at photos of the girls throughout the title sequence to clarify for the audience that he is stalking the girls and planning their murder.
